4J Your Wish Came True – World Artist Joel Bergner Contacts http://ourglobalclassroom.com

Awesome Message And Email From Artist Joel Bergner

Camp Zaartari is a place that is close to 4J’s heart, this year we have learnt about the great work of Andrew Harper, the struggles of the refugees and the war in Syria. Most of all 4J has loved the murals and Art work that are found on the walls of the camp.

Mrs Joyce found the magnificent artist that painted the art work at Camp Zaartari and his name is Joel Bergner. Captivated, 4J asked if we could contact Joel and of course they think Mrs Joyce is a miracle maker and ask if he could Skype them.

HOLLY I HOPE YOU DON’T FAINT WHEN YOU HEAR THIS NEWS – After checking my emails Joel has contacted us and he WANTS to Skype – This Week. He left this message of the blog for you 4J:

Hi you guys, thanks so much for all you amazing messages! I really liked all the videos and haiku deck and Holly’s drawing. I’m so glad that you have been learning about the Za’atari camp. It’s an inspiring place where people have a hard life but still try to make the best of it and keep going the best they can. I hope to meet you all on Skype soon. Good luck with all your studies. Take care! Joel

He also left this email for Mrs Joyce:

Hi Bronwyn,
Thanks so much for writing me! I am honored to be featured on your blog and will write a response to your students. I would be happy to Skype with your class at some point, just let me know what is a good day. Maybe next week? In terms of time zones, I’m currently in London and then will be in Chicago after Dec 17.

4J I will email Joel back and decide on a time we can Skype with him this week. HOW EXCITING!!!!! See 4J heroes are really true – Josh Brake and Joel care about the world and they realise how much you care about the world. I would like you to think about questions to ask Joel and he will be able to tell us truly what it is like at Camp Zaartari. Mrs Joyce will be able to tell him about her dream to meet the teachers and children there who she thinks are an inspiration to the world.

Here are some of Mrs Joyce’s favourite pieces of Joel Bergners work:

    Hi mrs Joyce 🙂
I was just on Joel’s blog I couldn’t figure out how to post but I showed mum dad and jade I love his new painting I’m pretty sure that it was done in London I’m not sure but he mus be really good at his art to make it look that details because he uses spray cans you’d be pretty lucky to have him do art near where you live. And I can’t weight until we have our fir Skype session with him tomorrow.
I have heaps of questions and conversations to be had like how is it at camp Zaatari 🙂 he’d have to be pretty happy to be making the lives of Syrian refugees brighter like literally I just had another question what was he’s Favirot adventure and what did it feel like meeting the kids at the refugee camp at Zaatari???? I CAN’T WEIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
