Each class I’ve taught has its own personality and idiosyncrasies. Even though I’ve had a large number of kids come and go during the year, there were enough children there to maintain the culture of the class. In two months I will start from scratch building a new class culture with a new group of kids and their families.

It’s a tradition to start the new school year with a new teacher, yet does this tradition align with our beliefs about learning? We spend a lot of time in schools talking about the importance of strong relationships between kids, teachers and families – yet we purposefully keep the time to develop and maintain those relationships short.

    hi mrs Joyce,

Schools make you change classes at the end of the year because we need to move up a level of learning and also because we need to make new friends.

I would of liked mrs joyce to follow me through to the next year because she is organised and we are always doing things from around the world and there is so much more about why that I cant put in words because there too cool to think about how to put in words.

the qualities that make mrs Joyce special is the ways she can get students ingaged is great and with all her friends from around the world that she gets in touch with is great because they all are different and other people in the class are different and some of the people she skypes or gets in touch with are different and most of the time some people have more questions about one person than another.

I would love to keep mrs joyce because I love the way we do different global projects she is fun to work with and you never get bored theres always something you will love to do for you to do. Also in 2014 I was in mrs joyces class an I went into the school year hating technology but I left the school year absolutely loving it. I knew so many more things to do with it so that is just a few reasons why I would like to have mrs joyce as my teacher every learning year.
