In #Malawi, most schools don’t have enough classrooms to house all students, and children are used to learning outside.
When the rains come, children like the ones at Muzu Primary School, crowd into one room (leading to class sizes well over 150 students) or head home. This greatly disrupts learning.
— A recently approved GPE grant of $44.9 million will support the government’s efforts to improve education quality in Malawi’s most disadvantaged districts. Part of the funds will be used to build 500 new classrooms.
