2014 iEARN International Scholarship Winner: In July 2014 I travelled to Puetro Madyrn, Argentina where I was extremely lucky to present with Dr Riel from USA. Dr Riel is an educational researcher linked to global literacy circle project implementation. As a successful literacy circle participant recognised around the world we presented the project process and how to engage with classrooms around the world.
2013 iEARN Australia Scholarship Winner: In July 2013 I travelled to Doha Qatar where where I presented to the World Education Forum. I conducted an interactive workshop teaching educators about how classroom blogs engage students in the classroom. There was also a presentation on my extremely successful international blog that currently has been visited by countries from around the world – http://ourglobalclassroom.com
2013 Workshop and Professional Learning Leader – Sonepat, India After presenting in Doha, Qatar an Indian paid to bring me to their school to mentor and work with teachers on 21st century learning techniques – technology in the classroom. This experience developed my passion to teach teachers, best practice techniques. I have grown as a leader and ambassador for quality education.
2013 Curriculum Innovation Nominee: The Gippsland Region have recognised my innovative classroom work involving ICT in the classroom, links to Web 2.0 tools and the involvement of the 21st Century Learners Framework.
2012/2013 Member of the Gippsland – Changshu China Project. One of the only teachers involved in the project. The project was lead by Principals and Assistant Principals. I was involved in visiting China twice last year and on our return visit working closely with Shi Mei Primary School to prepare and implement an interactive Learning Circles Project to teach schools in Changshu about 21st Century Learning.

2013 Winner of Global Organisation Epals: Hall of Fame Member – Nominated by a student from my 5/6 Class.
Educational Planning Development: Co Creator of planning roadmaps/documents, targeting the teaching requirements of teachers within the Senior 5/6 Unit of Liddiard Rd Primary. The aim is to create an engaging educational experience for all. Creation and implementation of Literacy appendices to guide teachers understanding the elements of what they are teaching in the classroom.
Team Building and Leadership: Created collaborative classroom experience through taking in Leadership Roles as Senior Unit Literacy Advocate. The advocate’s role leads the teachers in Literacy innovation and the implementation of literacy techniques in the classroom. The advocate runs PLT meetings and initiates teacher developmental needs so teachers can deliver Literacy successfully in the classroom.
Education Strategies: Employed special educational strategies and techniques during instruction to improve the development of sensory/perceptual-motor skills, language, cognition, and memory of the students I teach.
Technology Integration: Increased student participation by introducing relevant computer programs and exercises to encourage student interest and enjoyment. Innovative teaching techniques, using iEARN Collaborative projects.
Parent Communication: Regularly met with parents to discuss student issues and course weakness areas
Presenter – On several occasions I have been invited to present innovative education with the Latrobe City International Committee.
